The Ultimate in Early Literacy Training
These online trainings are designed to meet the needs of those teaching Waldorf language arts, including class teachers, homeschool parents, assistant teachers, and learning or remedial specialists. Each of these grade-specific workshops for Grades 1, 2, or 3 provide clear guidance on how teachers can meet the challenge of teaching children to read and spell English with knowledge and creativity!
Workshop Details
- Once registered for a Waldorf Inspirations’ Teaching Literacy Workshop, you will have access to the workshop content for a full year! This will allow you the opportunity to utilize the content for your summer planning, then review the content as you prepare to teach it throughout the year.
- Each workshop includes 20+ hours of actual video content. Most sessions are between 30-60-minutes in duration.
- Each Workshop (grades 1, 2, and 3) provides over 100 pages of free downloadable handouts to support your planning and instruction.
- Workshop registration includes the option of meeting with one of our team members for four 30-minute sessions (2 hours total) of free literacy mentoring via Zoom.
- The cost of a Teaching Literacy Workshop for Grade 1, 2, or 3 is $375.

Workshop Goals
You will learn how to:
- Teach the concepts and skills your students need to learn in the phase they are in.
- Develop a comprehensive yearly plan that introduces new academic concepts in an imaginative, lively and developmentally appropriate way.
- Lead fun, effective, and differentiated practice activities to help your students solidify skills -- including movement and singing games.
- Regularly assess the efficacy of your literacy program and meet common remedial issues.

When can I begin my course?You may purchase your course at any time, but make sure you do not open or start your course until you are ready to view it.

What payment methods are available when registering for the course?There are two ways. You can pay online with a credit card OR your school can request an invoice for the fee(s) by contacting admin@waldorfinspirations.com.

If I wish to register for the Grade 2 or Grade 3 course but have never taken one of your courses, would the course still be of value? Can I “catch up?”Yes. Some past participants were in the same situation and found great value in these courses. One of the strengths of the Grade 2 and Grade 3 courses is that they review the most pertinent curriculum from the previous phase. Teachers can use this information to review previous topics or if new to our program, “catch up.”
